Pretty flowers from the garden. So pleased to have my kitchen looking like a kitchen after a week of having workmen in!

Clematis still looking lovely and flowering well. It’s rather outgrown the space though so I may have to try to move it…

Decided to pick a few flowers from garden to cheer up the kitchen. Not sure how long they’ll last but they look lovely right now.

Well @greenbeltfestival.bsky.social #GB25 you were fabulous as ever. I explored the grounds, ran round the festival site for #Greenbeltrun, took part in worship & reflective activities, was challenged by talks, caught up with friends and enjoyed the creativity of the vibing team. See you next year.

Finished this today. Very thought provoking about human impact on the natural environment and what this means for wildlife.

I picked a bowlful of loganberries, raspberries and blackcurrants from my little fruit area this evening. I’m thinking I’ll cook them with a cooking apple that’s lurking in the fridge and then freeze them. Not enough for jam making.

I try to have something flowering every day of the year but as spring turns to summer the flowers are really coming into their own in my little garden.

Mine are all self seeded and popping up in random places!

Productive couple of days in the garden. It’s now looking much tidier and I’ve finally planted most of my dahlias!
There are also far fewer plants waiting to be planted into the ground. Just the potager section to go now

I’m not the biggest rhododendron fan (thanks to years of conservation volunteering where I’ve mostly met them growing in the wrong place) but this one was so lovely that I couldn’t resist it.

Today’s essential #PhD tools… can you guess what today’s task is?

Lunch in the garden in the sunshine listening to the birds singing.

@re-mcgee.bsky.social it got to the top of my ‘to be read’ pile.

Spring flowers aplenty here too.

Gardening folks. What’s this on my apple tree? Do I need to worry about it? Does it need treating?

Good way to finish half term, 8.5 mile training run (wind is character building…), a little bit of gardening and some baking (saffron buns).
