This is such a useful document for RE teachers & leaders to understand what these recommendations will mean for our subject.
The NATRE executive committee meet today - with the Curriculum and Assessment review and the implications for #TeamRE an important agenda item. Deborah Weston has produced a really helpful summary for NATRE members to download

Pretty flowers from the garden. So pleased to have my kitchen looking like a kitchen after a week of having workmen in!

The bursary for RE teacher training will be withdrawn for 2026-27, worsening the national RE teacher shortage.
#TeamRE Please support our campaign to reverse this decision.

Thank you @natre-update.bsky.social for pointing this out. Good RE is so important to help children and young people navigate life. What can we do to help make the point?
On this morning’s BBC R4 Sunday Programme, a DfE spokesperson said that RE trainee numbers are up — true, due to the bursary they’ve now scrapped!
The rise proves incentives work.
Removing them will undo the recovery.

Really looking forward to this. I always come away from #StrictlyRE inspired and with loads of ideas to put into place. It’s my favourite RE CPD event of the year.

Clematis still looking lovely and flowering well. It’s rather outgrown the space though so I may have to try to move it…

This will be a really useful resource to share with SLT and to use in Staff Meetings to explore with senior leaders and teachers why RE is important for all children and deserves its fair share of curriculum time.
Here is a really useful presentation looking at RE in the new OFSTED inspection framework, an essential download for anyone with responsibility for RE in state-funded schools

Well @greenbeltfestival.bsky.social #GB25 you were fabulous as ever. I explored the grounds, ran round the festival site for #Greenbeltrun, took part in worship & reflective activities, was challenged by talks, caught up with friends and enjoyed the creativity of the vibing team. See you next year.

Secondary teachers of RE please do fill this out. It produces really useful data which supports @natre-update.bsky.social to support you.
We know lots of #TeamRE like to switch off and enjoy the summer holidays, so we’ve extended the deadline to complete the secondary survey. We would be very grateful you could complete it by Tuesday 30th September 😊

Today’s act of #EverydayKindness, trying to work out which exit to take from the metro into Brussels Midi railway station. A lady wearing a hijab came up, asked if I wanted the railway station, pointed me in the right direction and said she was going there too so I could follow her.
