I wonder how long after Donald Trump and his regime are gone will it take to right the course of the United States as far as the environmental and public heath are concerned. I fear it will be vastly longer than the length of his presidency.
Today, the Environmental Protection Agency announced it will shut down its Office of Research and Development and eliminate thousands of agency jobs. According to the agency, this office has long served as the scientific backbone of its efforts to protect both public health and the environment.

DHS has authority to question and search people coming into the country at points of entry.
But ICE may not detain and question anyone without reasonable suspicion — and certainly not based on their physical appearance alone.
