I wonder if these cowardly Democratic fools realize they have likely canceled what was looking like an inevitable blue wave in 2026 and permanently turned over the country to right-wing authoritarians.
I suspect they do, since no one who is coming up for reelection joined them.

The irony of watching RFK lament how drug prices are too high and people are suffering as Trump looks on, thinking about how he and his team are in the process of shutting down the entire government just to make sure people can't afford health insurance.

Update: I offered this simple amendment in the Appropriations Committee to say no President can withhold funds from a college to try to control their speech.

Ok I’m offering another amendment right now in the Appropriations Committee to stop Trump’s corruption.
This one says the Department of Education can’t cancel funding for a college just because professors or students hold views Trump doesn’t like.

Republicans don't care about the $3 million in federal funding that makes it possible for victims of domestic violence to take their pets when they leave the abusive home. That's less than one two-millionth of the federal budget. They want to make it harder for DV victims to leave.

Noem's attack on Padilla deserves the attention it's getting, but don't overlook her words. When he asked his question, she had just declared that the federal government was keeping troops in LA to liberate the city from its elected leaders.
