What we saw last night in the Senate was outrageous! When an arsonist is burning down your house, you don’t write them a check for more fuel.

Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House.

We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication.

They own what happens next.

Ossoff, in the most vulnerable Democratic seat in 2026, just came out against cloture and the CR. But @schumer.senate.gov, in blue New York, doesn't have Ossoff's spine.

The Mail, a staunchly right-wing newspaper in the UK, uses their Sunday edition to lambast ‘bully’ Trump and call for his state visit to be scrapped.

The court date for the lawsuit against Section 504 is February 25. If this law is removed, Deaf and disabled individuals could lose the right to ASL interpreters at the doctor’s office, in schools, and at work. This is a direct attack on accessibility & equal rights!

A few thoughts:
1. Speak up everywhere, combine all of your micro power into macro power
2. Remember you are an expert
3. Don’t take no for an answer
4. Keep your patients at the center of everything you do
5. Be yourself (people like people who sound like real people)

I don’t trust politicians already making pronouncements about the way forward that promotes their own political agenda or aspirations, or distances them/us from vulnerable communities that need our support. Look for the elected officials who are taking a pause to listen/learn.
