The Sunday Post ran an exclusive on the toolkit I’m developing to support people with intellectual difficulties to access cancer screening.

We’ll see if any other media pick up the press release over the next couple of days before graduation. Excited it’s getting out there! 😊

OFFICIALLY DR WHITE! 🥳🎉

So pleased (and relieved!) that I passed my Viva earlier today with minor amendments! After over 9 years of study, I’m finally going to be a Health Psychologist!

So grateful to the ProfDoc team at the University of Stirling for all their support over the past 3+ years ☺️

Excited to hear I have been successful in this competition! This relates to a resource/product idea I had following on from my research, to support those with intellectual disabilities to feel able to attend cancer screening and to engage in decision-making around their health 🧡Will share more soon!

Grateful to receive an acknowledgment in this paper, evaluating email peer support (SharED) for young people with eating disorders. I worked on this (and suggested the name 😂) at Beat, in partnership w/the NHS, a few years ago. A valuable and rewarding project 🧡

Recently had to put together a case study for Masters students of my doctoral journey. Thought it could be useful to share here in case anyone was interested in the Professional Doctorate in Health Psychology!

Also highlights the differences from a PhD, with other competencies as well as research 😂

Honestly, does anyone actually enjoy statistics??*🙈 Higher Maths is the only exam I’ve ever failed & I think I have some sort of inability to understand anything other than basic math! Like, what even is a Mantel Haenszel Test of Trend?! 🤦🏼‍♀️😩

*I know some do, just let me rant during thesis-writing 😂

Doing uni work and asked Spotify to play the songs with lyrics, and was met with this??

I’m sorry, but I’m literally needing to take cheek from Spotify now too?! 🤨 And for £16.99 a month, no less… 😒

Standard day as a Trainee Psychologist:
•Mini breakdown first thing over my qualitative data 😭
•Got some much-needed coffee which I then swiftly choked on ☕️
•Joined an interesting webinar on using behavioural science to address optimisation challenges in medication 🧠

Truly surviving, not thriving😅😂

The fact The Portman Group openly say that they are committed to “promoting moderate drinking” in this report on the rise of alcohol-related deaths in women, rather than promoting zero alcohol days or potential health consequences, shows their allegiance to Industry & desire for us to keep drinking.
