I just landed in San Salvador a little while ago, and I look forward to meeting with the team at the U.S. embassy to discuss the release of Mr. Abrego Garcia.

I also hope to meet with Salvadoran officials and with Kilmar himself. He was illegally abducted and needs to come home.

This is a sad but interesting question. How many grad students will leave and where, if anywhere will they go ?
Live here and am in grad school here. I have one class where 13 out of the 15 in it are leaving the state or country at end of semester.

That funding loss will really impact the summer where the population is half that so it’s about $2k per person.

It only takes a handful of lawful residents to be arrested or have visas canceled over speech, or for tourists to be inexplicably detained in the horrible gulags that pass for our “nonpunitive” immigration detention, for people to start wondering if it’s safe to come to the U.S. at all.
