Five years ago, I donated $1250 each to four animal welfare organizations. Jane Goodall's was the only one that bothered to thank me. Stuck in a book somewhere, I still have her postcard with a chimp on it. Glad I kept that.

I recently lost my father and there are people who are hurt because they're not included in his memorial. I don't even care if I get invited to weddings, let alone funerals or 'celebrations of life' (that phrase nauseates me a little). If I didn't invite you, it means I really like you.
