today the US government is transferring sacred Apache land to a mining corporation. I spoke to some folks who have been fighting this for years; still praying for a miracle
Oak Flat is an irreplaceable sacred site for the Apache. It’s where their creation story takes place and where many sacred ceremonies are held. Today, though, the site is at risk of being destroyed and turned into a copper mine.
