What I choose to take away from this is that one teenage girl can make herself just as scary to governments as the richest man in the world. You heard Vance, everyone, one person can make a difference--now get to work.
"...if American democracy can survive 10 years of Greta Thunberg scolding you guys can survive a few months of Elon Musk," VP Vance tells the Munich Security Group.

"Christian love is not a concentric expansion of interests that little by little extend to other persons...The true ordo amoris that must be promoted is that which we discover by meditating...on the love that builds a fraternity open to all, without exception."

Take that, JD Vance

“Whoever comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and even life itself, cannot be my disciple." Luke 14:6

Watch me become one of those people who just tweets scripture at political figures.
The Vice President of the United States is trashing some random professor over his imagined IQ score, all while revealing himself to be the sort of dude who reads fundamentalist Catholic homeschooling blogs instead of, say, the Pauline epistles.

Well, thats one take on "love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater."

(One wrong take.)
The ideology of the religious is self-interest with a veneer of piety.

Had a brief conversation about how it would be fun to go to NYC this fall and made this discovery. So we’re going to Chicago instead, where we found hotels for less than $150.
New York City hotels charged an average of $417 per night in September, the highest monthly rate ever for the city. Many travelers are experiencing sticker shock. “I don’t understand how normal people can go there,” one tourist said. nyti.ms/3ZoNWxo

It's Trans Day of Remembrance. I love you all, please stay with us, tomorrow needs you. May we never forget those taken from us who were denied the right to be who they truly are. I am thankful for my community today. May we build a tomorrow worth living for, for all trans youth and adults.

Parenting a toddler is weird because one second you’re yelling at your kid to put on clothes before they go outside and the next you are literally answering why the sky is blue and the next you’re discussing a crack in the universe they found that leads to a waffle dimension.

The first known use of singular “they” is so old that not only does it pre-date singular “you,” it wasn’t even spelled with a “th”

When William and the Werewolf, in 1375 CE, used singular “they,” it was spelled with a Thorn

Only half of the country can understand the pent up rage so many of are walking around with all the time for the past week.

“Women are walking around, suspicious and guarded and apoplectic, knowing that some in our families or neighborhoods voted us back into second-class status, and wondering what else they’re ready to go along with.”

By me.
