The band was terrified of how well Rumours did, wanted to pivot into post-punk, were snorting barrels of cocaine, and were terrified of Lindsey Buckingham, who was cutting off his hair with nail clippers and taping microphones to the floor to "get more bass." It's GREAT.

That said, my most boomer take is that Pink Floyd is also a perfect band and every generation should fall in love with Wish You Were Here and Dark Side of the Moon too.

I think the average person finds our general presence uncomfortable, and doesn't like that they might get a pronoun wrong, which is embarrassing for them. But I think they're also sick as shit of constant anti-trans messaging when they have real problems and may not even know one of us.

Even still: getting Coloradans to vote for a tax increase is just about the hardest thing you can do here statewide. Says a lot about how pissed people are.
