So when we talk about how the cost of transit is time...to me the cost of driving is seeing death around the corner. I know that I'm lucky that I get to make the choice to pay extra to live in a walkable area, but it's 100% worth it to me.

I think back to the many near death experiences I had when I used to drive. I used to fall asleep on the highway because I was not getting enough sleep. I've been t-boned twice, pulling out onto a stroad. I've been forced to swerve into a ditch to avoid someone else pulling out onto a stroad.

I've been seeing more and more drivers are just not looking, zooming through crosswalks at 40+ mph, looking at their phones, while pedestrians are standing on the curb waiting to cross. What's going on?
