The 82 bus stop in front of the Home Depot on Kimball is ~440ft from the bus stop by Addison. There's no crosswalk there, so you have to walk up to Addison anyway if you want to cross safely. Remove it!

As a pedestrian, would you feel safer navigating the intersection on the left, or the intersection on the right?

I don't think bi-directional streets is any kind of solution when it comes to pedestrian safety and walkability.

A burned building has large fresh plywood panels attached to the side, maybe for structural support or for patching holes? The effect in black and white is high contrast and abstract geometry due to the interaction between the light plywood and dark burned wood surface.

No, it is a reproduction of the old MTA subway entrance beacon seen in this photo I grabbed from
Google. Most of the entrances now use the globe beacon.

My Lyft driver last night had attached mirrors on the rear passenger doors for checking for cyclists. I have no idea if this is a good idea (it seems like it was maybe positioned poorly, and turning your head and looking is probably best) but I appreciate the gesture!
