Today, Seattle and #Cascadia demonstrated that they can care for and protect our neighbors, even as the federal government ignores them and lets them go hungry. You braved the rain to donate 2,000 pounds - 1 ton - of food to food banks serving those at risk of losing SNAP benefits. Thank you! 💚🇱🇸

Just a reminder that rain or shine we'll be at Cal Anderson Park noon - 3pm for the SNAP to Action Food Drive. Food donations will be accepted, though monetary donations are preferred! Come join us! And if you'd like to volunteer, please message me on Signal at andyjourno.55. Thanks! ❤️

I'm at the Cascadia Innovation Corridor conference, where Pierce County executive Ryan Mello, former WA governor Chris Gregoire, and other regional leaders are talking about building a high speed rail network across #Cascadia. 🚄 Yes, please.

Let's help those hurt by the halting of SNAP food aid benefits. We'll be collecting non-perishable food and encouraging folks to donate to the Rainier Valley Bank on Saturday, Nov 1 noon - 3 pm at Cal Anderson Park in Seattle. DM me if you'd like to volunteer. cascadiademocratic.org/event/snap-t...

Apologies for the hiatus at #Cascadia Journal. I was out enjoying the wild rhododendrons on the Lower Big Quilcene trail

Bluesky reader: wow, that's crazy that you think Oregon and Washington should join together in a #Cascadia independent from the United States.

May 18th is a special day in #Cascadia. In 1980, it was the day Mount St. Helens erupted and reminded us of the immense power of nature in the Pacific NW. It's also unofficially #CascadiaDay, a day to work toward a more free, independent and sustainable #bioregion. What are you doing to celebrate? 🇱🇸
