Turned out to be a gorgeous evening, though still very hot.

The weather was good today and the geese were out and I had a nice, long walk!

Again, super grateful to get a new porch to enjoy this summer but so sad I won’t see any tulips, peonies, etc. I’ll be very lucky if any of my herbs or late summer plants come up.

The porch was meant to get redone the fall we moved in, which meant it would have been at the end of the season. But they started now, literally, the week buds were coming up and have completely squashed everything.

I'll admit, I didn't want a kitten. (Already have a purrfect senior cat in our household!) But Frankie is such joy. She is so spunky and affectionate. And it's such a pleasure to see her grown into a healthy, young cat after being so malnourished and scraggly as a kitten. 🥹
