I love disco and think the Disco Sucks episode was a big deal reactionary moment. We had gay black music, it ruled. The Bee Gees fucking stole it! But on the nostalgia industry front, movie was a flop because it was premature but they did it on the two decade cycle

Really good piece, I hadn’t seen the August Teles piece till now. I’m a moron, but I’m a partisan dem moron. Abundance was interesting to me as a way out of the desert, not because I was signing onto a utopian series of “abundances”. Bit disappointing.

So the times is being weird enough about this that I’m starting to think one of their protected species is implicated. For example, the Gelb family was known protected species at the times because Arthur Gelb was a big Times Editor in the 80s.

Quite part out loud about the decline in teen drinking: when we were kids alcohol was not typically considered a date rape drug. It is now. Kids have been taught (thank god) that sexual assault can be life ruining for offenders and victims, and that alcohol increases the risk.
