Asking cuz I often get people telling me what *is* funny and they are very sure about these things but often fail to look outside of their very specific cultural context.

And like the whole idea of humor is taking into account and playing with cultural contexts.

So... I wanted to ask

Sure! But also different cultures, different senses of humor 🤷🏽‍♂️

Example, Black humor partially developed to teach Black people how to deal with the wild disrespect we get from non-Black folk.

But white humor is more self-deprecating cuz it serves a different function (often it's a status game)

And did that improve things?
