There will be before Jack Black's Anaconda. And there will be after Jack Black's Anaconda. I don't know if the world is ready for this movie. Or maybe it is? It is GNARLY. It is crazy. It is audacious. It doesn't hold back. Wow. I can't believe it exists. But it does. And it's coming

You are not limited by the movies Film Twitter is obsessed with. So many of the best films of 2025 are smaller international gems that deserve so much more attention than they are receiving...

WTF is the point of going all the way to Cannes if you are going to legit just change your opinions to be more popular for the big films?

I have never dreaded a film more than Eddington

The Final Reckoning is my favorite Mission: Impossible film. Absurd in size and stakes, the film takes every scene and asks how it can make it as big and thrilling as possible. The film is so close to losing control, but somehow it makes everything work. Hard to think of many blockbusters this fun.

Now that it is available to rent, please watch Việt and Nam. A profound film that I am still processing and not over. My heart swells and breaks for the film.

Really enjoyed getting to see The Wedding Banquet this week which continues to prove Andrew Ahn's value as a leading queer filmmaker of the modern moment. Incredibly fun and emotionally meaningful, this is a real gem of the year so far! Enjoy my full review!

The way people refused to engage with or give attention to some of Pixar/Disney's most creatively interesting and diverse feature projects, allowing them to get caught in stupid political discourse and bomb and no are shocked that they are going back to the safety of established sequels and remakes

This is absolutely harrowing to watch. If you've seen the Brazilian film I'm Still Here, it's exactly that: armed men from an unnamed agency coming to a couple's door to take the man away, with no charges, no due process, no response to the wife's pleading questions. Completely unconscionable.
NEW: Family of Mahmoud Khalil just released footage of his arrest

“Stop resisting”
“He’s not resisting”

Agents seen continuing to ignore Mahmoud’s wife as she asks basic questions
