It was @dahlialithwick.bsky.social who described these executive orders as "letters to Santa," I believe.

Please let’s not call Trump’s meeting with Putin in Alaska a meeting for peace. It’s no meeting for peace when the murderous invader is conferring with his American asset.

In Alabama, another horrible ICE detention story— pulled over for going 1 mile over the speed limit and then put into detention, a woman who earned a masters degree and has become a beloved community advocate. Not a criminal. Someone who contributes to America. www.al.com/news/2025/08...
Alabama immigration advocate detained by ICE in traffic stop, family says: ‘Just heartbreaking and discouraging’
"Her detainment is not only legally questionable — it is morally wrong," a petition demanding her release reads.

One of the most prominent members of Elon Musk’s “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE) team once supported a cybercrime group that boasted about trafficking stolen data and stalking an FBI agent.

Musk’s status as a “special government employee” limits him to 130 days in the executive branch. However, despite working daily—documented by his own X posts—they claim he only works one day a week, effectively stretching his limit to 130 weeks. This needs to be brought to Congress—please share.

JD Vance - If you believe any of the multiple federal courts that have ruled against you so far are exceeding their statutory or Constitutional authority, your recourse is to appeal. You don’t get to rage-quit the Republic just because you are losing. That’s tyranny.

This. Make it hard for the Republicans to destroy the country.
Democratic senators will hold the Senate floor all night long in opposition to the nomination of Russ Vought, an organizer of Project 2025, to head the OMB.

Cutting the NOAA would directly impact you, your kids and their generations to follow potentially put lives at steak of many Americans
Losing NOAA would be devastating. Project 2025 authors want to get rid of it because it monitors climate change, and privatize the information it currently provides for free, so you'll have to buy information about the weather and the winds (imperative for mariners).
I have covered NOAA and it’s work for like 15 years and this is brutal. If you’re there and want to chat or share anything, signal is davelevitan.26

A small group of elected politicians did respond to the takeover at USAIDA, but the silence is deafening from you and the rest. Please get organized and take action before it is too late!
