1/3 Last week, I attended #APSA2025 in Vancouver 🇨🇦 and presented my work on feminist humor and media sexism in political comedy 'news' coverage (arguably couldn't be more timely right now).

It was fantastic to get to catch up with brilliant friends and colleagues and meet so many new people.

This week, I joined @manchester.ac.uk as Lecturer in Digital Media. I look forward to continuing my research and teaching in gender, political comedy, and media here and getting to work with my fab new colleagues.

Last week, I accompanied our Glasgow media and journalism students on a field trip to Mainz where I used to work as a journalist. We had fantastic conversations about current media issues, including with journalists at SWR. A massive thank you to everyone who was involved in this brilliant trip!

There was some feminist humour in SNL sketches too. This was often reflective - considering why Clinton and Harris were treated differently by the media and voters. Harris and 'Harris' discussed how isolating it was to be the only Black woman who had ever run for President.
