Apparently, allowing Americans to file their tax returns for free is a bad thing. A big gift to the Big Tax lobby and a big middle finger to Americans.

House Ethics Cmte investigation into Gaetz remained ongoing, which is obviously why Gaetz suddenly resigned from Congress. The committee's report was about to be made public—clearly a document every Senator must be allowed to read.

I keep talking about this and keep coming back to the same thing. What is the fear here, and what I hear is that people are afraid their daughters will be assaulted or taken advantage of. So peel the onion a bit, the reason that is a fear is because of how men have acted historically... 1/2
Ohio just passed a transgender bathroom ban, SB 104. Please, fellow Ohioans, call Governor DeWine at 614-466-3555 and ask him to veto the bill.

I’m scared.

What we think of as obviously corrupt will become normalized. "The worst stuff may be the legal stuff, or what we come to accept as legal, happening out in the open. As we come to accept it, we accept a degraded version of ethics in American governance."

To add to this.. Threads is a good space, and people are moving off Twitter to there. But I think there's going to be a push to move away from that too now.
I have to say, Twitter took a bad turn for the worse, the WAY worse, since the election. Every comment from anyone with a decent heart is being mocked in the grossest way.

It's not even fun to make fun of those people, who are probably bots anyway.

It's liberating not to bother engaging.

Moving off of IG and Threads. Any recommendations on people to follow here???
