Yes. And people will get mad bc they think this is redemptive, but it's not exactly redemptive to say that folks helped make bad things happen out of ignorance or by ignoring/disbelieving what they heard—it's just a more accurate way to describe how ppl think and act, which is worth understanding.

This is incredibly tragic but the headline written atop the article is extremely misleading. It makes it sound like someone came to the station and shot the officer. Please do better.
