Att skytten saknar ideologiska motiv är spekulation, att han har det likaså. Genom att framhäva det ena blir det skevt: de hade kunnat konstatera ”vi har i nuläget inte någon klar bild av vilka motiv skytten haft”.

Att skytten saknar ideologiska motiv är spekulation, att han har det likaså. Genom att framhäva det ena blir det skevt: de hade kunnat konstatera ”vi har i nuläget inte någon klar bild av vilka motiv skytten haft”.

Took a small pirate history trip today in the footsteps of the pirate princess Cecilia Vasa. We went to the town of Arboga where Cecilia resided a few years in the 16th century as "the Countess of Arboga", in the house that is now the town hall. I also found a suiting bottle at a flea market.

Still a few months until we sail the seas again, bur wintertime is maintenance time. We need batteries, pumps and all those other things to work untill then and the engineering crew is slowly making it happen on TS Constantia.

Yesterday, shortly before sunset, the #LouiseMichel spotted a wooden boat with 38 people onboard. Our crew was searching for a boat having overheard an alert by a Frontex aircraft. Whether this is the same boat or not we cannot say.

Todays gift to myself. The biography of the rather obscure swedish privateer Stefan Löfving, by Eirik Hornborg. Published in 1946. Too bad I can't start reading it until, Thursday, when I've done my exams in navigation and whatnot for my Fartygsbefäl klass 8.

22 Nov 1718: The pirate Blackbeard was killed in battle off the coast of Ocracoke, North Carolina. Lt. Robert Maynard of the Royal Navy led the assault. Blackbeard allegedly had at least 5 gunshot and 20 sword wounds before falling. (1/2)
