years ago my uncle got my aunt a pom puppy. They also had a new baby at the time, & when she felt she couldn't keep up with both, my brothers & I received a fuzzy christmas gift. That was Poppet.
Today after 19 years we said goodbye.

long story short i had a whole LOT go outta whack with my mental health after my surgery, but it was very slow to present in a way we could notice. We are working on that though, now that we've caught up to why my brain's been busted

TOMORROW IS MY SURGERY!!! its VERY early in the morning but its not a long drive thank goodness. at this point its just doing the prep stuff like the shower, comfy clothes to wear in, getting stuff like my tablet/handheld game system ready jic

i've said this a lot, but: diary of anne frank is for a huge number of americans the first sustained narrative they get about live under the nazis and that's good for a lot of reasons but it also gives the false impression that most ppl in totalitarian systems are hiding in attics from the cops
I'd add: Authoritarianism doesn't always look like you think it does.
