⏳Final week to sign up to the Green Party.

🗳️ Vote for Bold Leadership on August 1st.

Always really irks me when I see fellow 'ethical vegans' still buying products from companies that enable and invest in a genocidal state.

If you support animal rights, it should go without saying that you also support the human rights of Palestinians in #Gaza & the #WestBank.

Calls for a #WealthTax are growing - and government's excuses are looking more and more feeble.

This week's rally showed the energy of this movement and the breadth of support (78% of the public!) for this common sense policy.

Now we keep the pressure up!

Why is it that "tough choices" are always about harming the poor and disabled, and never about making the very wealthiest pay their fair share?

Almost feels like a microcosm of wider politics right now, with voting intention moving away from the centre towards either end of the scale.

For me, the left (rather than the toothless, uninspiring centre) is where you find true alternatives to the right-wing ideas that are taking hold.
🎉 Green WIN! 🎉

🌹 Labour are reportedly losing one party member every 10 minutes on average right now, with 16% of those leaving heading to the Lib Dems or the Greens!

📈 It seems clear from recent rhetoric that Labour are trying to win back potential Reform voters who, according to polling, are growing in number.

🗳️ We were hugely disappointed to see the #CANBill blocked in parliament last month, with Max Wilkinson (Cheltenham MP) abstaining from voting in a crucial moment for climate action.

🟡 Although the motion was put forward by the Lib Dems themselves, they failed to stand by it when it mattered most.

✈️ Plans to expand Heathrow have been branded as irresponsible by our Green MPs, as Labour seem adamant in putting 'growth' over common sense.

🌹 Labour aren't showing the required commitment to their climate targets & they risk worsening climate breakdown with reckless policies!

1. Now, on top of all the other things we can't have, we learn we can't have new hospitals. Why? Because Starmer's government is committed to a higher principle than saving lives: saving money. Never mind that trying to keep old hospitals running costs a fortune: a classic false economy. ...

Brilliant article from Carla Denyer that demonstrates once again how much more progressive the Greens are on healthcare issues in society.

It's okay to be sick and to look after ourselves appropriately, rather than pushing through and causing more harm!
