If I lived in the US, I would be a dyed in the wool Democrat. As a Canadian, I definitely lean left. I believe in equal rights, affordable housing, socialized healthcare and feel lucky to live in a country that prizes taking care of its citizens.

@smerconish.bsky.social I agree government is bloated and needs to be reduced. Go through each dept and first find out who wants to retire. Then go through to see if there is duplication. If fraud is found, charge people or you have no authenticity with what you are trying to do.

@smerconish.bsky.social re: commencement speeches - isn’t one of the main focuses of university to help create intelligent, educated, independent thinkers with opinions and ideas of how to solve issues? They are punishing students for becoming that ideal.
