Literature + theology + beauty + art + justice ✝️ Thy kingdom come on earth!
Does a doctoral program exist where I could combine mission and literature (and the broader arts)?

No, the meeting did not go badly for Ukraine. It exposed in the most undeniable, unequivocal way possible the pro-Putin commitments of the president and vice president. That was information Americans and allies needed to have clear before them.

I have covered presidential politics for 40 years. This was the most juvenile display by a President and Vice President I have ever seen. Other presidents treated their enemies with more respect. This is a low point and a dark day for the US. Totally embarrassing.

This is a big deal, y'all. Federal health websites are being stripped of content or removed in their entirety. Stick with this thread for a look at what's disappeared so far! 1/x

I’m assuming all the MAGA Christian churches will be setting up programs to assist their members who lost Medicaid, SNAP, Meals on Wheels, Head Start, after school programs, Special Ed programs, veterans suicide programs, et al.

Please share those resources.

And the rest of it he makes into a god, his idol, and falls down to it and worships it. He prays to it and says, ‘Deliver me, for you are my god!’ They know not, nor do they discern, for he has shut their eyes, so that they cannot see, and their hearts, so that they cannot understand.

I feel a little sad. My daughter was baptized today in an Anglican Church. But it’s different than how I was raised. Can’t post these pics on Facebook because I will only get backlash about it not being submersion. I stood alone with her, but it was more meaningful than any baptism I’ve ever seen.

What to read after Advent?

This is my first year observing Advent - it has been nourishment I never knew I needed. I’m already dreading the void that is soon coming with the end of Advent - of focused daily reflection using the church calendar. What to read between Advent and Lent?
