My list of discarded (but still beloved) hyperfixations is long and varied. Currently mostly into cats, cemeteries, and Star Trek.
Like my friends and I were nostalgic for shows that were made for boomers and silent gen because that’s what we watched when we were kids. Younger generations are nostalgic for reruns of the shows that were made for them specifically. And yes now the content is coming from all directions

Yes but I was thinking more about the transition from cable being entirely reruns to younger Gen X and millennials having a ton of shows that were created for them specifically and then the old movies and old reruns faded out as necessary filler as more original stuff was available.

I think about this a lot in relation to Gen X vs younger generations in that we didn’t have a lot of our own pop culture until we were older so a lot of our pop culture is from older generations. Younger people have so much of their own pop culture, they know nothing about historic pop culture

I am in the same group. I enjoyed it but I’m also one of the weirdos who liked glass onion best. Or at least as much as the original. I liked this one but seeing most everybody say that it’s the best one has been a little baffling because I just thought it was pretty good…?

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in years of creating things – which I’m sure you know too – nobody ever reviews anything until it’s live no matter how often you ask or how confidently they sign off. They have not fucking looked at it!

Did you see them open for Pearl Jam which was apparently a thing that happened?

Because the script said so.

A shockingly stacked cast in these movies

I just really enjoy it. I don’t usually focus too much on costume issues unless they’re completely off the rails which I don’t feel they are. I love that it’s basically Vanderbilt fanfiction too
