My quirky "little kittens eating ramen" tshirt turned out to be hiding a skull, very much like that infamous tattoo.
A very deliberate design choice, which you can see only if you look at the picture in black and white.
These people are everywhere.

Seeing how Xitter is going to start pushing content via its AI is going to be a historical exercise in waste of resources.
Your normal tweet is now tied to environmental degradation and uncounted externalities.

Some random person makes a statement about economics with which I agree, but something seems off, and boom, the account is full of hatred and bigotry.
Reminds me of what Arehns said.

In "The Autumn of the Patriarch" the dictator has lived forever, the one that showed up dead being his double.
The presidential house debased and in ruins, the glory forgotten and the ocean, the country's identifying characteristic, sold.

When he's finally gone, there is going to be this flood of books and tell all interviews from Republicans about how hard it was to be a Republican in Washington during this time and I am going to be galatically furious about it.

Should I buy my t-shirts from threadless, forgotten and obscure after flirting with Wall Street, or just serigraph them myself?

All this excitement about the newest tatted Fetterman wannabe, and very few words about the White House turned into a horrible metaphor for the country.
I mean, people think that there are going to be elections?

A few years back, when we did DNA tests and sent them to the exwife of one of the google guys, such paragons of ethics, for safekeeping, I found out that I am somehow related to a comedian. She identifies as American-Egyptian, but gets mistaken as Latina all the time.
Should I bring this up?

I an not a doomer, but my thinking regarding the things I invest are very much based on whether these are going to be useful 500 years from now, for archaeologists of the collapse.

In light of AI speculation and general political issues, I am going to dedicate the next moths to read only about financial speculation; perhaps I might follow with some economics books about failed states following the closure of their legislative body.

What plays though?
I’m moving between listening to some actual plays amidst errands & rereading @thetattooedprof.bsky.social RADICAL HOPE & both make me think about what it takes to be a teacher that invites learning rather than awes with knowledge — & in what spaces/forms/relations one can sidestep Sage on the Stage.

Thinking about all the nonprofits that help immigrant populations, and that have Salesforce as their CRM, which means that all their clients customers and associates lists are now in the hands of the agency best known for brutalizing them.
Salesforce told ICE that its A.I. software could help the agency nearly triple its staff, according to internal documents, as President Trump expands immigration raids and deportations around the U.S. www.nytimes.com/2025/10/16/u...

@matociquala.bsky.social you mention, in your book about the hospital people, James White as an influence. This was a amazing series, full of compassion, pacifism and a lesson in inclusion. Thanks.

Remember that Swedish music band that had songs about how dreadful was to bike to school in the middle of winter, all dark and cold, and it was utterly foreign idea, that of children going to school by themselves.
Their song didn't resonate well with their USA public.

Eve on the garden of Eden, talking about the delicious fruits.
I'm coming up on a month at my new job and I'm still hesitant to talk too much about it because 1) the internet 2) i don't want to jinx it but it's been really good so far and I'm hoping it will stay that way
