Went to the Wanamaker organ event at the Grand Court in the old Wanamaker building. It's the largest fully functioning organ in the world and the grand court is all marble, so it sounds like a cathedral. Anthony Roth Costanzo was the host and he led us all in singing "Climb Every Mountain"

Went to the topping-out ceremony for the Philadelphia Ballet's new building today. The old regime knocked down a historic building and left a vacant lot for almost 20 years, so it's nice to see the new one actually going up!

It's been days of 40F weather, but the river is still frozen!
I had hoped to get out to take pictures with my new camera this week, but my learning new things capacity is at zero. I took this one with my phone in November of 2020, though, and it reminds me that even in awful times, we still have beauty around us.

Dragged myself out in the rain for Choral Arts' concert tonight and glad I did. I am not particularly fond of carols and wish the choral groups would do something other than carols for a change. But Choral Arts did Britten's Ceremony of the Carols and I love how the music moves in the processional.

Went to first Phillies playoff game of the season last night and it was awesome! Did not sit down much--our players respond best to screaming hysteria in the stands. Everyone on the packed subway home was nice to the one guy in the Marlins shirt.
