Precisely this. A fascinatingly idiotic and antiquated approach to comms

This constant attempt at policy via deception also further erodes public trust in government
Anti-imm right will share the Guardian article and decide Labour have a woke open borders policy; progressive left will share the Sun article and conclude Labour are thugs snatching jewelry from the desperate. Instead of persuading both sides the risk is you anger both and persuade no one.

The paradox of politics is that you do sometimes have to say "fuck the public" to help the public

Between the challenges of the foreign element and the internal willingness to challenge outside investment, I feel like we're basically down to the question of whether it's Murdoch, Rothermere or Marshall who end up owning it

James makes a good observation here

If he weren't running what's essentially now a pro-white nationalist outlet, you'd almost have to admire it
Telegraph sale to redbird (who sort of owned it already) collapses.

This has got to be seen as a triumph for Chris Evans, who must be the first editor in history to declare war on his own proprietor and *win*. Arguably, twice.
The telegraph has been for sale for three years on.ft.com/4oGV6Hu

I was previously of the view that any attempt to oust Starmer would require a commitment to keep Reeves on as a means to maintain market stability

I think that necessity has just gone out the window

The longer I sit with it, the less I like it

Its a game that’s fun to play and beautiful to look at, but feels dated and dissatisfying in many ways, which is a crushing shame

Regrettably, it’s probably a 7/10

Story wise, I do prefer Atsu to Jin, the latter of whom felt very wooden, but the story suffers from weird pacing and a limp ending

Plus the ‘chose the order you take down the Yōtei Six’ pitch is complete marketing spin and doesn’t really exist in-game

That, combined with an overly generous fast travel mechanic which really disincentives travel and exploration, creates a world that feels quite empty, despite its beauty

It’s undoubtedly a gorgeous game, and Sucker Punch’s artist styling is fantastic, but going from titles like Elden Ring, Baulder’s Gate and even Death Stranging to ‘red tree means X’ and ‘steam means Y’ is jarring

Personally, those "I'm actually the leader" comments from Gabriel Pogrund and Patrick Maguire's book should have been enough for him to realise that maybe this guy was going to be a problem

Beyond anything else, Starmer surely can't enjoy being personally and repeatedly humiliated by his own advisor like this?
NEW: Keir Starmer spoke to his senior No 10 team this morning and said briefings against ministers are “completely unacceptable” and would bring consequences, No 10 say. He was “assured that no No 10 staff briefed against ministers” and accepted this assurance.
