The Northern lights visible from Southern Colorado tonight. Hand held phone photo. Once eyes were used to the dark the pink color was visible with the naked eye, though not as bright as seen on phone screen.

We knew something was digging under the railroad tie step, put a piece of wood there thinking it was a rather strong mouse digging holes to get into the house. Put a camera out to catch the little fella only it was an Agent of Chaos! Should have known. 🤣
What did it find to eat? I don't know.

Raven flight path trail, I like the pattern it makes at bottom left of frame, and a bird 😁. The bird came down right like that, wings folded in and straight down - something about it makes me think Kestrel.

Raccoonosaurus, possibly at the peak of evolution for a raccoon, having a drink. This is one huge raccoon.

Squirrels, along with many other animals that lack full cheeks to create a strong suction seal, rely on physical principles like the meniscus effect (adhesion & cohesion) & inertia to drink water. They don't lap water in the same way as a dog or cat.

A bright meteor with train early this morning, bright enough to trigger SkyCam. The regular camera also caught a few sporadic meteors/taurids.
Fingers crossed for more clear sky over the next few days.
