A few questions for writers and readers of bluesky: have you ever read a webserial? *Would* you ever read a webserial? And finally, what would get you to read a webserial?

Any thoughts are very much appreciated.
I take unintentional breaks from this place because of all the reminders that this country is trying to kill me. When I come back, I have no idea what's happening. I'm like 'why are there five posts in a row talking about Akroyd documentaries? Is he dead?" Cuomo did what?"

Man, I have to scroll a long time to find a post that isn't about the world on fire.

Horror movie where the Child-Eating Cyclops Monster eats children every week, but because he wears a clean suit and tie and frames his desire to eat children as an academic thought experiment, the authorities allow the Cyclops to continue for the sake of civility.

A5: I am working on three mini projects that have 999 words or less (or your money back!). #1- Bleakwood Falls is low-key about vampires. #2- As the Chicken Thaws is a soap opera about what happens when the chicken isn't thawed the day before the wake and the secrets that are revealed while it thaws
Q5: Share your stories! Tell us about what you’re working on OR something you’ve had published recently & share links if you have them! #WeeknightWriters

September is Suicide Awareness Month. This means a lot to me because on September 6th, 1998, I attempted to unalive myself and failed. Unbeknownst to me, my friend John was doing the same thing and completed.

This is your sign to write (or finish writing) the story you're scared to write. You will thank yourself.
Someone read my story about being caught in the blast zone of a friend's mental health crisis, and I'm hugely relieved that it resonated in multiple ways. I abandoned this story two years back because I thought it would be insensitive, but I'm really glad I finally saw it through.

I need to make more time to write. I'm a night writer but by the time I get home, I'm tired and go right to bed. On Memorial Day Weekend, I got an intuitive tarot reading at a brothel near Vegas that suggested I write in the morning. I'm not an AM person but it's worth a shot.

Oh! This thing still exists! Hi! Umm... Bacon is still delicious. The sky is still blue. Aaaand, I'm still not a cat. Yes, this is all true. Despite my summertime sadness, I'm writing almost every day. Yay.

The plot fairies gifted me a new short story idea premise in my sleep last night. You know I'm gonna play with it.

Play with your new shinies just a little bit so they don't feel ignored and will stop pestering you.

How does one turn off the creative drip? I have a few projects that need attention. I can't be cheating on them with other undeveloped shiny ideas. #writingcommunity #writerslife

I remembered this exists again. I haven't done much writing. I finished writing Episode 32 of Bones and Gravy and that's it. Now that my seasonal depression is kicking in I'm doing a lot more sleeping when I'm not working. It's dumb and I hate it.

I finished plotting Season 2 of Bones & Gravy yesterday! I want to write all of it. I'm also going to start plotting the first episode of Season 3.
