This is the right move at the right time. The UK Climate Change Committee - an expert-led body - has been clear that nuclear power is essential to a decarbonised electricity system (1/4).

In Bearsden South, the SNP slumped, Reform underperformed, the Conservatives collapsed - and it's clear Labour has no chance of winning here.

Ben Langmead's victory proves that only the Scottish Liberal Democrats can beat the SNP in Strathkelvin & Bearsden.

It may not merit top news story on the BBC this morning, but to the TEN and a HALF THOUSAND children in Scotland without a proper home, it is news to them. It’s a complete national scandal actually. 👇

By anyone’s standards this is a stonking victory. The Tories went from first to sixth place. The SNP and Reform massively under performed despite the hype. Labour struggled. This is what you get when you knock on every door in the ward, congrats Ben. Next task: May election gain!

Fantastic win in East Dunbartonshire, where we’ve beaten the Conservatives into 6th place.

Right across the UK, former Conservative voters have heard Kemi Badenoch tell them loud and clear that they’re not welcome in her party – and are backing us instead.

On #IDAHOBIT day there’s not much to celebrate in the UK. 22nd (once 1st) is a sad fall from grace. Legislation to improve lives of LGBT+ dropped by governments because it’s too politically hot to tackle.

Pride organisers have every right to be fuming with politics.

They want action not words!

So guaranteed 4th barring something ridiculous occurring with Green Transfers.
Genuinely proud of the team effort to get this result from nothing in West Dumbartonshire.
But this is just the beginning. We will keep knocking doors, delivering for people and doing the basics right.

The allegations are obviously serious & I am glad to hear that the Greens have taken these actions.

Voters in the Waterfront will have the chance to vote for a Positive Local Champion for our community, and I will spend now until Polling Day fighting for every vote.

When inches are given, miles are taken.

A damn shame to see this in the centre of Clydebank. We need to stand as an alternative to hatred, not giving this menace the means to grow.

I urge all my fellow candidates in Clydebank Waterfront to condemn this ridiculous display.

It makes you look for savings in all the wrong places because departments are compelled to cut what they can, with limited time to understand the potential trade-offs. And deepens the impression that the government can’t commit to seeing through long-term projects.

Once again I am begging UK government to look at contingent tax/spending commitments to address *potential* breaches of OBR targets. Don’t salami slice departmental budgets to hit a moving target mid-way through a budget period. It adds to a sense of policy instability that is antagonistic to growth
