Definitely get the sense Bessent thought Trump wouldn’t go through with these tariffs. He was shocked, and is incredibly nervous.

Afraid? A large number are cheering. R Legislators long ago sold their souls

They are only in the early stages of blaming all our problems on the working class. It will only get worse. Their goal is protect the very wealthy at all costs.

To be clear: we didn’t need a massive deflationary event to bring down ~already~ moderating interest rates.

I hope everyone knows this is yet another lie to obscure their intentional actions to cause a depression that they hope will paralyse the masses and prevent popular opposition and uprising.

2/ Note specifically what Johnson (And Musk) are saying here. No cuts ... BUT social security is mostly fraud. So they're going to cut off 50% of Social Security payments? 30%? 70%? Musk is managing the biggest generational theft in American history here.

Is it just me or is it becoming clear: the very wealthy see that citizens are going to increasingly demand equity on several fronts, and advocate the wealthy pay their fair share of taxes. Wealthy are greedy & happy to lurch towards authoritarianism to keep the middle and lower classes in place.

Like, where are all the strategists worked on the Harris campaign last year? Can’t we round up a few smart Dem pros to launch an aggressive and widespread campaign?
February 26, 2025 at 1:43 PM
Yes! Where is the communications campaign across social platforms, podcasts, etc.? Take action with messaging and a media strategy! There seems to be no comms strategy😣
February 26, 2025 at 1:41 PM
Why is there not a massive campaign telling the entire country this? Surely there are deep pocket donors plus small donors that would fund a campaign.
February 26, 2025 at 1:37 PM
At the risk of sounding naïve: is there some reason that Dems can’t unleash a massive communications campaign, using actual video clips and headlines about all this grift & horrible policies? Massive, across social platforms and television and podcasts? Get the messages where the eyeballs are!

It’s almost as though it would have been a good idea to have a president who looks into consumer price gouging…. Like Harris pledged in her campaign

The blame America first trope is part of what got us here. We generally side with the good guys and glad he said it. Of course our politicians have also supported terrible actions but those are contrary to what we stand for.
