President Trump inherited an economy that was, by most conventional measures, firing on all cylinders. Just weeks into his term, economic forecasts have deteriorated, reflecting the upheaval from federal layoffs, tariff moves and immigration roundups. nyti.ms/43sbBz5

To be clear: we didn’t need a massive deflationary event to bring down ~already~ moderating interest rates.

I hope everyone knows this is yet another lie to obscure their intentional actions to cause a depression that they hope will paralyse the masses and prevent popular opposition and uprising.

2/ Note specifically what Johnson (And Musk) are saying here. No cuts ... BUT social security is mostly fraud. So they're going to cut off 50% of Social Security payments? 30%? 70%? Musk is managing the biggest generational theft in American history here.

If you have family members in the armed services, I'd suggest getting them to get on Signal and do some serious discussion to make sure they're on the right side of history. Help them research what to do when illegal orders come and how to refuse. It still takes a person to pull the trigger.

in the trump administration, “merit” is pronounced “white” like how strom thrumond said it.
Just look at these paragraphs from the AP story.

Hegseth called Brown unqualified solely because he's Black. Then they fired him... and replaced him with a white guy so indisputably unqualified that he requires a Presidential waiver.

This is what "merit" means to them.

The Republican Senate has completely surrendered to Trump and Musk. Absolutely spineless. Now a Russian agent is our Director of National Intelligence. Every day our country becomes weaker.

If this is a direct quote, it's one of the most irresponsible and reckless things a SECDEF has ever said

Here it is in a nutshell:

1. Trump is an authoritarian.
2. With the GOP controlling Congress, courts are key to protecting democracy.
3. So far, courts are doing a good job on #2.
4. GOP will next attack election rules like they did in 2021.

Don't let the cynics convince you not to fight. FIGHT!

We need the best communicators among the Democrats to speak to the public on a regular basis, much like governors did during COVID. This is becoming more urgent as the lawlessness and lies accelerate and it gets harder for people to know what’s true. This should include Pete Buttigieg. Who else?

Please remember something: if you had said a year ago that Trump would do even a fraction of these things, you would have been mocked, belittled, accused of “Trump derangement syndrome,” and dismissed by certain people.
