Solar panels are often now elevated so that sheep can graze underneath them. Dew runs off them, making the paddocks more drought resistant. The sheep get shade underneath them. Productivity of both wool and meat is increased, farmers get static income from the lease. Win win!!😍

A powerful piece by brave women.

A timely reminder that, underneath all the politics, this is who the #EpsteinFiles are about.

And how *all* relevant information must be made public so that some measure of justice can be reached.
NEW: Epstein survivors release the most powerful PSA I have ever seen.

Make this go viral so every member of the House of Representatives sees it.

Can journalists stop labelling politicians like Hastie, Joyce, Canavan, and Antic as "conservative".

They are the opposite:
radical right misogynist ideologues following American christo-fascist campaigning to strip women [and anyone else who isn't a straight white man] of their rights. #auspol

Someone should then ask him to explain all the science behind these terms…
The President of the United States is so upset about his failed campaign for a Nobel Prize that he's now trying to claim someone else's prize as his own.

Pathetic.

Wonder if the ABC can get the Zionist lobby to cough up the 70K, considering they started the whole thing with their bullying
Breaking: Federal Court Justice Darryl Rangiah finds ABC unfairly dismissed journalist Antoinette Lattouf for her expression of political opinions and awards her $70,000 in damages

So here's the bigger question coming out of the #AntoinetteLattouf victory:

WHY did the ABC cave in to the Israel lobby?

And more broadly; HOW does a foreign influence group have so much power over our media, politicians, universities, cultural institutions and the arts? #ZionistMcCarthyism
"the decision was made to appease the pro-Israel lobbyists who would inevitably escalate their complaints about the ABC employing a presenter they perceived to have anti-Semitic and anti-Israel opinions in such a public position."

BAM.

If one is censured by a nation's Parliament for behaviour officially found to be "corrosive of trust in government", and is referred to an anti-corruption commission for misleading its Cabinet about the "crude and cruel" Robodebt scheme, how is one then eligible for said country's highest honour?

Just a very minor quibble - if we are going to bin #ScottyFromRobodebt, the stupid awards system and the useless monarchy, they should go to landfill, not recycling!

Scott Morrison is getting Australia’s highest award on the Kings Birthday.

The bloke who as PM went to Hawaii during the bushfires, ran Robodebt, and secretly gave himself five different ministries.

Morrison, the monarchy, the whole system belong in the bin.

"Richard’s saga has also shown how broken the Commonwealth public servant whistleblower protection laws are."

If there is anything useful to come out of the prosecution and persecution of Richard Boyle, it is to highlight the urgent need for strong #whistleblower protection laws. #auspol
After a court enforced realisation that he wasn’t protected by our broken whistleblower laws, Richard Boyle has pleaded guilty to being a whistleblower. It’s a sad outcome. Richard is a superhero - Australia needs more people like him. #auspol

I’ve seen some think pieces arguing that Labor’s election victory means News Corp no longer have power in Australian politics. These views ignore the fact - as per my academic work - that News Corp and the Liberal Party are so intertwined that neither leads and neither follows - they work together.

No idea why media still depicts Nats as a farmers party. They are a mining party beholden to coal and gas interests and funded by Gina Rinehart. When there is a conflict between farmers and fossil fuels, they always back fossil fuels. Their opposition to wind is to protect fossil fuels for longer.

The same people who say Adriana Smith should stay hooked up to machines so a fetus can gestate inside her dead body for 7 months because “it’s a sacrifice a mother would make” can’t fathom a mother crossing the border with her children in hopes of providing a better life for them.

If they are going to call community independent candidates 'C200 backed' then surely they also have to call LNP candidates and members 'Gina Rinehart backed'.

Surely - that's only fair?

Also - community independents are mostly community backed #auspol

Beyond Dutton's loss, this is a chance for a new type of politics in Australia
The comprehensive nature of this win gives Anthony Albanese the chance to change the narrative of our politics.

Alternate headline - Don’t fuck it up
If Labor doesn’t do something with power this time round (assuming the polls and vibe are right) to materially change people’s lives for the better, they risk consigning themselves to irrelevancy

If the Albanese government is re-elected, it needs to do more
If Albanese and Labor don’t do something with power to measurably improve people’s lives this time around, they risk losing it all.
