I've seen several people claiming that Virginia Giuffre's father allowed what happened, and that she should blame him, not anyone else -- as if his alleged permission was the only consent that mattered.

"She should blame her mother" shows up all the time in discussions of Polanski, and I've seen it a few times with people saying Virginia Guiffre's parents exploited her, and implicitly saying that anything any man did to her was OK because her parents had (allegedly) OKed it.

The other thing seems to be that they view children as property of the parents, so they just see it as, "Those were bad parents who made bad decisions, but it's none of my business what they do with their own kids."

It is -- he was dressed as a Blues Brother for some kind of performance at the seminary. His friends from back then said that he loved that movie.
