The one we have is not for airplanes. We could concievably check it as oversized luggage because it comes apart into sub-40lb parts, but I don't think the batteries could go on a plane. There are folding types specifically designed for air travel, but I think they get checked?

And yes, I’m aware that objecting/refusing a nomination is likely to be moot, that the GOP can force it through, but it’s not moot. It’s refusing to be a party to corruption. It’s registering disapproval and opposition. And that’s necessary. It has WORTH. Those gestures matter. They show leadership.

I got a most excellent deal on some new Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries for it off eBay, more than tripled the range and took 20 lbs off vs. lead, too!

Buying a 2nd-hand electric scooter off FB Marketplace a few years ago was one of the best purchases we've made for her. We rented one 2 years running for a Ren Faire, and the used one was ~3 rentals. It's paid for itself easy, and she has it whenever she needs it.
