ICYMI: my review of THE STARVING SAINTS, one of my favorite books of 2025. It starts grim, offers deliverance, then pivots into delicious madness.

book’s been out a month! sales have been… existent, at least, so that’s good. highs and lows. but on an artistic level, I think I’m calling this one a full success.

when you’ve got both medical professionals and chronically ill folks going “YOU GOT IT RIGHT!!”, that’s worth so much
book’s out! hospital gothic, more claustrophobia and slippage of reality, more medical minutiae than most people need, a sinister whiteboard. get it where you get your books but here’s an option:

For centuries, the "gothic" aesthetic has bled into pop culture and literature, proving the age old adage is true: Goth isn’t just a phase, it’s a lifestyle!

Just finished The Graceview Patient, which I'd pre-ordered bc I loved The Starving Saints so much.

TSS was GORGEOUS and if you liked Groff's Matrix, you'll love this one even more.

TGP was amazing but also a bit too real for me. Some traumas resurfaced. Read if you're ready to pick your scabs. 💙📚

A dark, frightening and visceral read that treats the body as a haunted house that the protagonist can't leave. If you're looking for some truly unsettling horror, I highly recommend The Graceview Patient by @caitlinstarling.com!

Okay, kiddo (3.5) really likes to take pictures. We don’t like handing over our phones. Kid-focused cameras have games(????) loaded on them or other features we don’t need.

please recommend your fave easy to use digital cameras. bonus if it’s easy to port photos to a digital frame of some kind

so the process of writing is a process of realizing how imperfect and incomplete that idea was, and actually working out all the rest of it. writing, in other words, is a process of thinking: a particularly disciplined one, that takes you from a warm feeling to a genuine reality.

the WHOLE THING about writing is realizing that you don't "already" have "the whole thing" in your head. when it's just an idea that warm feeling smooths over all the gaps. but you've got a germ. a seed. there are *so many choices* left to make--real, hard, meaningful, creative choices.
