I 100% understood what you meant here, and can't think of a better way to say it, but I'm deeply amused by the potential argument over whether vampires and zombies are getting appropriate representation. 😆

People see huge backlists and assume that means people are raking in cash but I am telling you, esp writers who have been at it for twenty years: the book you buy might be the only sale for that title all month long. I've got old stuff that only sells one or two copies a year.

I actually asked for the jam one for Christmas - that is, it was one of the main presents I requested, with the hope of opening it on Christmas morning and then eating it over the next four months or so. A pot of jam a day is just too much jam for me. I don't want obligatory jam, I want to savor!

It's fine, she's great, this won't be a problem. I just feel really guilty for leaving her hanging for an entire week. And also - this isn't oops, forgot to follow up. This is that the memory didn't imprint at all.

Guess I know why they were so emphatic about not signing contracts for 24 hrs.

It doesn't even have to be an appliance! I was very happy with my spatula this morning.

I love King Arthur for so many reasons. Their products are top notch, their recipes are delicious without being precious, the company is employee-owned, and I wish their store was closer to me because I loved it.

I know, it's extremely misleading. Let's shame them on the internet.

(Between the chocolate and the pumpkin, this is very much a New World recipe!)

It needs 3 bowls, but it comes together really fast. Significantly less effort than most pies. (I love making pies, too, but variety is the spice of pie.)

The colors and composition are so elegant!

I'm coming from the other direction, where I was trained on Adobe (and occasionally do get frustrated by stuff I can't get Canva to do). But for my current needs, Canva is faster and cheaper by quite a lot.

It's REALLY easy to do the basics. They have a lot of templates, even on the free plan.
