Leafing through ‘Biological Exuberance,’ Lulu Miller finds herself giggling a little (lots of unabashed drawings). But awe creeps in too. With page after page of scientific proof that queerness exists in nature, she wonders: How were we not told?

It took me participating in this craft fair (on a total Bluesky whim) to finally watch Our Flag Means Death & *I AM IN LOVE* with the show’s world, its characters, its humor, care, & possibilities. So I will be shopping this auction (which raises money for trans youth) & I hope you’ll be too. 🏴‍☠️🩷🩵🤍
One week until the auction opens!

Here's a peek at some of the items we'll have for bid and for buying—we can't wait to show you the rest!

Want to keep any eye on when the auction opens and closes? Pop your email in here: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...

Artists and writers often look to masterpieces for a source of inspiration.

But what I’ve found sparks my creativity even more is stuff that is almost good, but not quite.

It gets ya thinking about what they should have done different, and apply to your own work.

If you aren’t a big fan of Valentine’s Day then let The Folklore Podcast help as we revisit the lost tradition of Vinegar Valentine’s - cards to send to an avid admirer to let them know you couldn’t give a rats about their advances.

Beautiful, creepy passage from Mark Fisher on how mythic structures capture us when we trigger a deeper sense of time. Or that’s how I took this at least. (From his 2016 book “The Weird and the Eerie”)

Sweet trans pride gloves I made for a fundraiser. 🩵🩷🤍🩷🩵 If anyone ever wants me to make something in exchange for a donation to a local mutual aid fund, bail fund, abortion fund, or food bank, hmu. Fingerless gloves are my speciality.

Day 7: The last day, and it feels like time to go, to face the music. Part of why I find Rome so fascinating is that we’re always aware of an Empire’s ruins, of what can come next (& next & next)… Nothing is permanent but everything echoes. History is an archive of the stories we write.
