When a person is abducted, there's a number to call to report & identify. A habeas petition challenging the abduction is electronically filed in that district, by a lawyer admitted in that district, within 30 minutes of the call. Anywhere in the country, 24 hours a day.

Nothing else is good enough.
hello! i am very curious if anybody is building a rapid response network to file habeas shell petitions for nice people before ice can take them out of state?

Talked to my therapist this morning about my constant exhaustion that makes me just want to nap all the time. She’s said, “what about reality makes you want to hide from it?”

Inmates are routinely given the least amount of food that is legal so that they have to spend $ in the commissary to not starve. In some places, food service and the commissary are run by the same contractor so they profit off starving human beings. The markup on items in the commissary is absurd.
People have been putting money in his commissary account and trying to donate money to a legal defense fund. He probably doesn't need it.

But if you're moved, you can donate to OTHER prisoners' commissaries www.thecommissaryfund.org

You can also request TCF funds for your incarcerated loved ones

As many of us suspected, post-affirmative action data is hard to decipher. I think the biggest loss was that our society gave up on the ideals of higher education preparing students for a multiracial democracy where diverse leadership is understand as good for society

Little Change In Law School Minority Enrollment After SCOTUS Decision
While first-year law school enrollment by racial and ethnic minority students held steady overall, according to the ABA, several schools saw large decreases this year.

Everything America does to cut off its nose to spite its face is to hurt Black people first and women second. If you keep that in mind everything makes sense
I will never stop being aghast that the United States built a higher education system that was literally the envy of the entire world—our bitterest political enemies nonetheless sent their children to us to be educated, it was so good—& then just decided to systematically, ruthlessly dismantle it

Yesterday after parking my car underground I walked full smash into a concrete beam with my skull after getting out of car (true story).

Im a little fuzzy and my neck is sore, but I’m so grateful it wasn’t worse or did enough damage to make me a Republican.

Even if 50% of the population were trans, they shouldn’t freak out. They are just being unapologetically transphobic.
Wow. Now we can understand why so many Americans are obsessed with trans issues and panicking about being replaced. They think there are 21x more trans people, 27x more muslims, 15x more jews, 5x more asians, 3x more black people, and 2x more immigrants than there actually are.

Two things the President can do now via executive order:
1️⃣ Expand Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to protect more undocumented individuals from deportation.
2️⃣ Strengthen targeted student loan forgiveness programs like PSLF for teachers, nurses, and public servants.

If it’s not AI, it’s their dad…
I am getting more and more solicitations from potential doctoral students that are very clearly written by AI and likely sent out to many different professors. I guess this is the world we live in now but I also wonder how successful any of these attempts are in making connections.

I read this book when it was published. After this election, I cannot recommend it enough! Trump 2.0's edu policies are going to be worse (& even more hated) than last time. We'll have a real opening to offer a better vision for public K-12 than the status quo. This book outlines a potential vision.
