I think everybody under the age of ~40 is pretty much fucked and there’s little point in drawing comparisons. But one experience I had that I wish younger people saw was what the internet was like before it was ubiquitously commoditized and otherwise ruined by business perverts

A key lesson I’ve learned as a manager is situational leadership. Managing everyone the same doesn’t work.
People vary in skill and motivation for tasks. High skill, high will workers need empowerment, while low skill, low will workers need clear direction and guidance.
Adapt your approach.
