Scotsman in exile. Misanthropic, introverted, mildly opinionated pop culture sponge. Authority/go-to guy on Marvel’s Jack Of Hearts & CapWolf, so I’m told. Militantly anti-slabbing.

No lying or making yourself out to be a cool kid.
Post the first record you bought.
If you can remember the shop or circumstances add that too. Local color appreciated.

I have officially reached the age/volume of comics where “Filing Day” is no longer a single day.

It’s taken 2 days to schlep all these boxes downstairs. Then tomorrow I’ll do the actual filing. Then Wednesday and Thursday (and maybe even Friday) I’ll schlep them back up.

Time for a SERIOUS purge.

Just learned my Uncle Frank died last night.

He and I had been largely estranged for the last 20 years due to family drama, but I always thought fondly of him.

He was the fun uncle that let me watch films like The Shining, Silence Of The Lambs and Children Of The Corn at far too young an age.

RIP

For the last couple of weeks, the new Spider-Man has been filming about a 10 minute walk from my front door.

No big deal, I thought, probably just 2nd Unit stuff

Nope, Spidey himself, Mr. Tom Holland was there filming yesterday!!

Today is the 25th Anniversary of the release of this masterpiece.

Quarter of a century and I’m still playing it regularly.

And @pinkalpacas.bsky.social and I are going to see a screening of *Nosferatu* (1922) soundtracked by Kid A and Amnesiac at the end of this month.

Been on a bit of a #Transformers kick recently thanks to @danielwarrenart.bsky.social excellent Image series and the first compendium volume of the OG series…so I went digging in my mums attic and dug out most (but definitely not all) of my original collection.

Looking forward to messing with these

The Good - my copy of SMT Compendium v2 arrived today, ahead of street date.

The Bad - Amazon still don’t give a single shit about packaging their items, so it has a massive crease on the back cover. So here we go again with me returning it until they send me an undamaged copy.

Man, that Bone Kickstarter Slipcase Hardcover sure looks sweet.

What an excellent addition to the collection of any discerning, handsome, charismatic and intelligent collector.
A reminder that I have some pretty neat stuff on eBay which I’m happy to deal directly via DMs here if you want ebay.us/m/dRX0T5
