I’ve never done this before. Will regret too many responses. Will regret embarrassed silence.
Mickey, Mini, and Oswald too

I own this toy purely because it’s a Jason Pearson art based figure. Toy makers note. I’ll buy a JRJr Cable miniseries based figure or a Sam Kieth Wolverine, for example

Dan Dare is back in what we hope will be a series of oversized graphic novels by @alexdecampi.bsky.social myself and the good folks at @b7media.bsky.social. The Kickstarter launches in February 2026 - go here to register your interest www.kickstarter.com/projects/798...

Look at Wrightson’s inks on Adams. Lush!!
January 5, 2026 at 12:20 AM
The different textures Adams gets from different tools. The Joe Kubert looking brushes on Enemy Ace, the soft textures on the goon in the second image, and the impressionistic mark making on the hair. There’s more Impressionism in Adams’s work than gets talked about. It’s always the “realism”

This Deadman stuff by Adams is just incredible. Do I need all comics to look like this? Nah. But some!!!

I think this is pure genius.

Diving back in. I’m not the most diehard Adams fan in the world. There’s plenty I love but not everything. But this huge book is on balance excellent. I could do without some Superman and JLa stuff personally. But there’s a lot of Wrightson inks too!
This cover is best as it’s in parts inside.

First they had Frank Miller, then Bill Sienkiewicz for year two, now (back in 1989) we see with Issue 25 that Matt Wagner will be taking over art chores for Lone Wolf and Cub covers.

Got to love the quality and variety First Comics was pulling in for this Japanese reprint series.

Everyone talks about JRR Tolkien so much but I’m a more of a fan of his son JRRJR

When Phil Hale’s GOAD was published in 2001, he did a signing at Forbidden Planet, around the corner from the Gosh where I worked. I didn’t know.
A customer came in and said “the books turned up without jackets, so he sketched them all”. So I ran. Got a copy with a jacket and put it on. Win win.

Probably just me but the Frazetta on the left always makes me think of the James Dean on the right

My son is playing Minecraft. Makes me feel so old. What’s the point? He’s making fences, getting upset when things escape or cats go wandering. I feel exactly like my parents must have done watching me pile hours into Horace Goes Skiing or Dizzy Island on the Spectrum.

Nice wee mention in the @comicsjournal.bsky.social for Stramash ‘63 of which there will be more this year most likely issues 2 and 3 in early summer to complete the current storyline before doing some longer one-shots.

“But we’ve spent so much money on creating tools for nerds to make terrible X-Men vs Predator films and you call it slop! We’re making the unskilled feel like Zack Snyder in their mom’s basement”
I didn’t have any new years resolutions, but now I do!

Not a chance, ya fucking dork

Just watch a prick in a 4x4 pull up and fill a recycling bin with unflattened boxes. Very first world problems I know.
I plan to try to let this stuff get to me less (I.e. thoughtlessness) as I can’t control it. It’s not bad people. I need to relax

A reminder. Blusky is basically algorithm free. Your RTs are more more important than ever. Likes are nice but do basically nothing compared to other social media.
In short, if you like it and want to support creators, Repost it.

Been struggling thru these old New Mutants issues. Shocking colours/printing. That awful era of X-Men writing (explainorama) and Austin’s inks over Blevins just not quite right. Doesn’t surprise me that Blevins was poorly received.
But then. Look at the last page with Gossamer. Stunning.
