I’ve never done this before. Will regret too many responses. Will regret embarrassed silence.

If you’re a good taste person, be aware that ID(W?)’s shitty logo doesn’t preclude some good comics. Been doing Twilight Zone standalone comics and this week’s is by the excellent @jamesstokoe.bsky.social. To Stokoes in one week. In this economy. Thanks @cactusakic.bsky.social for the reminder

Abs Batman Ark M special. Art by Josh Hixon. New to me. Somehow a bit Francavilla but with a big dollop of John Paul Leon in the mix. Pretty nice

Oops. Accidentally breathed near a Dark Horse comic. Now it’s warped like crepe paper.

So ID (IDW) came up with an imprint logo that gets a bit more emphasis on the W at the cost of the I and the D. What the hell is happening?

“My non-existent husband is 56”
Putting the AI in Tai-Chi apparently. The disclaimer reads “Ai generated for entertainment purposes” while they drop ‘science’. Gross. Unblockable.

If you don’t know this book, it may not be apparent that there are a plethora of great artists on it. @duncanfegredo.bsky.social @tozo.today RM Guera, @dylanteague.bsky.social. The list goes on. I get not naming all the artists on the front but to all the world, you’d think it were drawn by de Campi

Today's Comic! Lansdale & Truman revitalized Jonah Hex in the '90s, adding an extra dose of weird to the Western. More slept on is when they did the same for these two fine fellers. Fantastic blend of increased historical accuracy with an infusion of alien mummies. What's not to dig?

New Year and a bit of free time now that ROGUE TROOPER is essentially done.

Gonna finally get these stunning Simon Bisley pieces framed.

What is wrong with people letting AI compile this crap. Always wrong. Always missing critical details. Pathetic and lazy.

Vertical Books did these lovely looking collections of Tezuka's Blackjack. Catch was, they included an extra stary in the HC version. This triggered my completist brain to reject the series as I didn't want the HCs nor a collection missing a load of stories

A little thread of Jason Pearson trading cards from the 90s. Hard to photograph at times. Everyone is a tiny banger 1/4
January 5, 2026 at 9:31 AM
Mickey, Mini, and Oswald too
January 5, 2026 at 1:43 AM
I own this toy purely because it’s a Jason Pearson art based figure. Toy makers note. I’ll buy a JRJr Cable miniseries based figure or a Sam Kieth Wolverine, for example

Look at Wrightson’s inks on Adams. Lush!!
January 5, 2026 at 12:20 AM
The different textures Adams gets from different tools. The Joe Kubert looking brushes on Enemy Ace, the soft textures on the goon in the second image, and the impressionistic mark making on the hair. There’s more Impressionism in Adams’s work than gets talked about. It’s always the “realism”

This Deadman stuff by Adams is just incredible. Do I need all comics to look like this? Nah. But some!!!

Diving back in. I’m not the most diehard Adams fan in the world. There’s plenty I love but not everything. But this huge book is on balance excellent. I could do without some Superman and JLa stuff personally. But there’s a lot of Wrightson inks too!
This cover is best as it’s in parts inside.
