That’s…less helpful. It’s weird to realise that one’s encyclopaedic knowledge of who drew what issue, inks, colours etc turns out to be time based, as things move on. I’m a fount of knowledge from about 89 to 2007 but much less so after

I loved that period where the cover artist formed part of the identity of the book. You on Shade, McKean on Sandman, Johnson on Bullets. Plenty more examples. Still happens I’m sure but less so perhaps?

Brave Old World is a weird book. It’s good. It’s Davis and Hester and you get both but it breaks your brain a little.
The Rivoche covers are amazing.
I love Chaykin and Burchett’s Pulp Fantastic.

This was in Batman. I think it’s when Wildstorm’s impact was really being felt in the colours etc.

"I know I ran out on you with your sister after you miscarried, Mary... But what if I just, I dunno, gave you one of the books I wrote? Best book I ever wrote! One that would, if my name were attached, be the greatest and most lasting work of my career! Would that make it up to you, sweetie?"

I thought as much. I feel like online shopping misses that personal touch. Face to face, I could sell most everything, otherwise I give stuff away.
