Protests can be such an outpouring of voices and creativity and emotion! We're lucky to live on a planet where so many people care so deeply about improving things

In Mexico City, a march protests drug violence and the president's security policies.
In Tel Aviv, people protest the prime minister.
In Bilbao, people protest the genocide in Gaza ahead of a soccer match.

In Macedonia, a march demands justice for the victims of a deadly nightclub fire in March.
In Corsica, where the homicide rate is highest in France, people march in an anti-mafia protest.
In Paris, a march denounces violence against children and teens.

But whatever the cause, the lack of coverage is a huge hole, and alienates readers online and in print I'm sure

It might be that subconsciously, but I think a large part of it is that national wire staff are tiny at this point. We frequently don't get any non-sports stories about our region from AP all weekend.
