It has become crystal clear that there are members of the Republican faction that truly want children to die. There is zero evidence or scientific support for promulgating these beliefs.

Wtf is up with the scare quotes around illegal orders? For once just say something unequivocal and call this bullshit out for what it is.
November 20, 2025 at 5:40 PM
Welp, really got that one wrong. Not sad about it tho.

Agreed, but I don’t know that we’ll see that. If I was a betting man I’d bet against a veto-proof majority. I’d be happy to lose that bet.

I might be mistaken, but I don’t recall hearing that Trump ever said he’d sign it into law? He said the *house* should pass it, but thats very different from saying he’d sign it.

What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?

Living in WA for 20+ years, I’ve seen firsthand the creeping Catholic takeover of healthcare. The worst part is that people in general don’t understand what that means in practice. When I try to explain it they first don’t believe it, but the reality eventually breaks through and they get shocked.

Yep, I get the imperative for ranges so that you can easily replace a gas unit. Fridge batteries are still an interesting idea IMO for those that can’t do whole-house BESS.

I’ve seen that one. Interesting idea.

Related - is there anyone taking a similar approach for refrigerators? Seems like a slam dunk to have a high-efficiency fridge that has built-in power outage protection.

No, not crazy in the slightest. It’s gross. Doesn’t stop these creeps from wanting to push down the age of consent or minimum age for marriage though. It’s pathologically creepy.

I have a sneaking suspicion that if the SC invalidates the #IEEFA tariffs, they’re going to do it with a “water under the bridge” approach and somehow structure the strike down in a way that avoids refunds.

Oh that’s gonna be a nightmare.
November 9, 2025 at 2:13 AM
I started thinking that a while ago. The real deal may be protecting someone(s) other than Trump.
November 7, 2025 at 8:43 PM
They’re practically gonna need to demo it down to the studs to rid it of the funk and folly.
November 6, 2025 at 11:33 PM
Oh good lord someone please make it stop
November 6, 2025 at 11:30 PM
Or IN THE RAIN. FFS it drives me nuts.
