This Day in Buster…November 23rd 1929…
‘The Hollywood Revue’ is released nationally by MGM. The movie featured the song, ’Singin’ in the Rain’ for the very first time, predating the musical of the same title by 23 years. It was sung by the entire cast but one.

“Our Hospitality” has its general U.S. release. Buster Keaton’s daring rescue of wife Natalie Talmadge took place on a constructed waterfall on the studio lot. It took three attempts to catch the girl (a dummy).
